Intermediate/Advanced level Course: Haute Couture Beaded Silk Top

This intermediate/advanced course will teach you how to make a couture silk halter neck top with an embellsihed geometric design placed on silk dupion fabric with a silk organza background. The course includes a sewing pattern for six sizes and demonstrates couture sewing techniques for creating a high-fashion garment.

The design features preciosa round faceted & bicone crystals, fire polished beads, toho beads, specialty sequins, padded appliques, textured leatherette & other embellishments. The course is broken down into practical modules such as pattern sizing overview, garment construction, pattern cutting, beadwork preparation, couture beading & finishing techniques. The garment is finished using a combination of couture sewing & contemporary sewing techniques.

An intermediate level of sewing and a foundational level of tambour beading is required to complete this course.
